“The focus is on the violin this month, in different combinations…from an unaccompanied solo instrument through full orchestra. We’ll start in the Baroque, with the ensemble Voice of Music and a Vivaldi concerto - then the Alexander String Quartet takes on some serious Beethoven, and a Debussy sonata helps bring this year’s Music in the Vineyard to a close. We’ll hear a composer play her own solo for the violin for Musaics of the Bay, and end with the California Symphony and music of Saint-Saiens.”
